What Our Performance Tune-Ups Consist Of
Furnace Performance Tune-Up and Safety Inspection
- Replace disposable filters
- Lubricate moving parts, as required
- Clean main and pilot burners, as required
- Clean blower motor, wheel, and housing
- Tighten electrical connections
- Check for proper air combustion
- Inspect vent pipe
- Check for carbon monoxide leaks
- Check fan and limit switch operation
- Check thermostat calibration
- Clean condensate drain (for condensing furnaces)
- Test condensate pump (if condensing furnaces)
- Visually inspect ductwork
Air Conditioning Performance Tune-Up and Safety Inspection
- Lubricate moving parts, as required
- Clean blower motor, wheel, and housing
- Tighten electrical connections, check volts and amps of all loads
- Check run capacitor for distribution or leakage
- Clean condenser coil (chemicals not included)
- Replace disposable filters
- Inspect evaporator coil, if accessible
- Check thermostat calibration
- Clean condensate drains
- Test condensate pump
- Visually inspect ductwork
- Measure evaporator TD
Heat Pump Performance Tune-Up
- Replace disposable filters
- Lubricate moving parts, as required
- Clean blower motor, wheel, and housing
- Tighten electrical connections
- Check volts and amps of all loads
- Check run capacitors for distribution or leakage
- Inspect evaporator coil, if accessible
- Measure evaporator TD
- Check thermostat calibration
- Clean condenser coil (chemicals not included)
- Clean condensate drains
- Test condensate pump
- Inspect strip heat and check operation
- Check reversing valve operation
- Check defrost cycle, if circuit board has override
- Visually inspect ductwork
